What it does
Version, build and device come along by themselves. Testers pick the build from the same list TestFlight shows, add up to four screenshots, and mark which device it was worst on.
Mark a bug fixed in a build. Each tester sees a “To test in 3.3 (58)” list and answers works for me or still broken. You find out whether the fix held before you ship.
An ideas board with votes, tagged as improvement, new feature or design. A questions board where the best answer rises and can be marked as accepted.
Open a space and your builds mirror in from TestFlight with their What to Test. Testers get a push when a new one lands. The key that makes it possible never leaves your device.
A channel for the team and one for announcements that push to everyone.
One-use codes, or codes with a number of uses and a date. Nobody gets in without one.
Owner, developer, tester. Only the owner hands out roles; staff triage, testers report.
Attach a testing guide or a manual as a PDF; testers open it from the space.
Filter the bug board by iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch or TV. Device names read as names, not model numbers.
The same space on both, with a sidebar on the Mac and iPad. Testers can be on either.
How it works
Import it from the App Store, or create one by hand. Channels, boards and roles come with it. You’re the owner.
One-use codes, or a code with a number of uses and an expiry. They install Snagbox from TestFlight, paste the code, and they’re in as testers. Comped can email it for you.
Add an API key on your Mac or iPhone. Your builds and their What to Test mirror into the space whenever you open it. The key stays in your Keychain.
Bugs come in with the facts. You mark them fixed in a build. Testers verify from the To Test list. Ideas get voted up. Nobody asks which build it was.
Pricing
The developer who owns a space pays, never the people testing it. Everyone who joins during the beta gets a year of Pro at 1.0.
Free
$0
For one app and a small circle of testers.
Pro
$59/year
or $7.99 a month for a release cycle.
Prices in US dollars; App Store pricing applies in your region. Nothing is charged during the beta.
Privacy
It lives in your Keychain and syncs between your own Mac and iPhone through iCloud Keychain. Builds are read by your device and mirrored into the space. Snagbox’s servers never hold the key.
You sign in with Apple. Other members see the name you choose and the avatar you set, nothing else.
A screenshot is shrunk and re-encoded on the device before upload, so a photo’s location and serial never leave the phone.
Not in the app, not on this site. Delete your account from Settings and everything you own goes with it.
Snagbox is in beta on TestFlight for iPhone and Mac. Free while it is, and everyone who joins now keeps a year of Pro when it ships.
